Welcome to my zoo.
In this series, you will find self portraits where I appear as animals, because my emotional life makes a lot more sense when filtered through something with fur, feathers, or questionable survival instincts.
These portraits reflect my current state of mind and what I am learning, and unlearning, in my early twenties. The chaos, the confusion, the growth, the humor, and the occasional “what is actually happening anymore” moment.
Each animal represents a version of me moving through life. Sometimes thriving, sometimes struggling, sometimes just trying not to bite anyone. Together, they form the small ecosystem in my brain that I am still learning how to take care of.
Welcome to the habitat.
xoxo,
CS
