Painted Ceramic, Moss | Spring
Where She Rooted is inspired by womanhood, motherhood, nature, and my own relationship with growth. I wanted this piece to reflect the quiet power women carry: the ability to nurture, protect, and grow life within and around them. The moss-covered surface makes the form feel alive, almost as if it is still becoming. To me, this piece connects the body to the earth, reminding me that women, like nature, are strong, generous, and constantly creating life in many different forms.

Becoming was created as I entered my mid twenties and began reflecting more deeply on who I was, who I am now, and who I hope to become. Inspired by womanhood, motherhood, and the beauty women carry within themselves, its flowing forms represent strength and transformation, while the openings suggest vulnerability and the space needed to grow. The sculpture honors becoming as an ongoing process that is never truly complete.

Held developed as an iteration of Becoming, continuing my exploration of womanhood, motherhood, and personal growth. While Becoming focuses on transformation, this piece turns toward care, protection, and the ways women carry others as well as themselves. Its curved form suggests an embrace, while the repaired surface reflects healing, strength, and the beauty that can remain after hardship.
